As people say: location, location, location and with the Lodge this is hard to beat. Located right by the main lift in Vail Village, the Lodge is one of the only smart ski in/ski out hotels to be found in the resort. Combined with the beautiful lobby with sweeping staircase adorned with flowers, massive stone fireplace, ever popular piano bar and choice of in-house restaurants you will see why, for many, this is the only place to stay in Vail. The gourmet restaurant, The Wildfire, tends to get booked up some way in advance so book a table before you go even if you are staying at the hotel. La Cucina Rustica, an Italian option serves lunch, dinner and a superb deluxe buffet breakfast which is included every morning (until March 29th) and worth staying here for in itself.
