One of Canadas most beautiful spots.

Canadas most northerly resort is also one of its most breathtakingly beautiful. Set amongst the dense forests, frozen lakes and deep valleys of Jasper National Park, the authentic town of Jasper is a 20 minute drive from the Marmot Basin, a superbly varied ski area of chutes, bowls and tree-lined glades.

On the mountain

The Marmot basin is split into four areas with excellent lift links between them, making it easy to jump from one to the other, and ensuring a nice, even spread of skiers and snowboarders across the mountain. This means minimal queues and plenty of room to fly down your favourite runs. Undulating greens and blues snaking down between the trees will keep beginners and early intermediates happy for hours, whilst higher points on the mountain are scattered with exciting blacks and double diamond blacks for the more advanced.

Off the mountain

Jasper is not just somewhere to lay your head at the end of a days skiing. Its a true taste of Canada at its best: a proper frontier town, amidst spectacular scenery, full of friendly faces as well as moose, elk and deer who are as much a part of the community as the people themselves. Non skiers can enjoy beautiful walks, spying on the wildlife, horse-drawn rides and ice-skating on a frozen lake.
