Hotel Ancora

One of our favourites in Cortina, Hotel Ancora is a stylish and characterful property. Built in 1826, the hotel retains its old-world charm, beautifully decorated with antiques and traditional Italian furnishings. Following a full renovation for Winter 2025–26, the hotel now blends its historic elegance with refreshed interiors and modern comforts. It was recently voted one of the top hotels in Italy.

The rooms are individually styled, combining classic Alpine character with modern touches. Many feature wood-panelled walls, rich fabrics, and views over the town or surrounding mountains. The renovation has enhanced comfort across all categories, with updated bathrooms and improved in-room amenities.

Guests can unwind in the newly refurbished wellness area, which includes a sauna, steam room, and relaxation zone, perfect after a day on the slopes. The attractive restaurant, set beneath a vaulted ceiling, enjoys a strong reputation locally, with refined dishes and attentive service. Guests can also dine at the à la carte restaurant or enjoy a cocktail on the Terrazza Viennese, which overlooks the bustling Corso Italia, a perfect spot to soak up the atmosphere.
